My ETA – Help & FAQ

What is MyETA?

MyETA is a driver-friendly app that lets your customers track your live location during a job, so they know exactly when you’ll arrive. It makes jobs smoother and reduces “where are you?” calls.

When does GPS tracking start?

Tracking begins automatically when you start a job. You’ll see the “Job Active” banner, and your location is sent securely to the system.

When does GPS tracking stop?

As soon as you arrive at the destination (within 200 m), tracking stops automatically. No buttons needed — it’s hands-free.

Why do I need to allow location access?

We use your location to show customers your ETA, send automated SMS updates, and keep dispatch informed. Tracking only runs during active jobs.

Will the app track me after the job ends?

No. Tracking stops automatically when you reach the destination.

What if I close or restart the app mid-job?

The app checks for an active job and resumes tracking if needed — no need to restart manually.

Can I log in from more than one device?

Yes, but each account has a device limit. If you exceed it, your oldest device may be logged out automatically.

What happens if I lose signal?

Location uploads will retry once you’re back online. SMS updates may be slightly delayed, but they will go through.

Do I need mobile data for this to work?

Yes. You need mobile data for sending location, receiving updates, and triggering SMS notifications.

I think tracking didn’t stop — what should I do?

Go to the Admin tab and tap “Force End GPS Tracking.” If that doesn’t work, force-close the app and contact your administrator or support.
